Major Achievements of PIU for the month of March 2008

  1. KSUDP - Urban Road Transport – Tenders invited for 3 packages. Only one tender received. Furhter process is in progress.
  2. JNNURM - Urban Road Transport –City Mobility Plan submitted by the consultants and placed before the Council for approval.
  3. JNNURM-Surface Water Drainage- 5 Tenders received for 15 packages-No bidder qualified the qualification criteria. Retender process started.
  4. KSUDP-Solid Waste Management-Tenders received for 3 packages, bids opened, Technical Evaluation Report prepared and submitted to PMU for approval.
  5. JNNURM - Solid Waste Management – Works of Municipal Solid Waste Disposal Facility at Brahmapuram is in final stage. Trial run and Commissioning of the plant is expected in April 2008. Rs. 13.20 Crore expended.
  6. JNNURM - Heritage and Tourism - The consultant, C-Hed prepared the presentation about the details of identified 39 projects in Heritage and 14 projects in Tourism and will present before the Councilors and other ULBs in the CDP area.
  7. PSF & CIF –Action plan has been prepared for 2008-09 and approved by Council and submitted to PMU. City Level Steering Committee has approved the list of training institute and the quotations are forwarded to DMC Kudumbashree for getting the report of Micro Enterprises Consultants. Technical Sanction got for 9 colonies and Tender Process started.
  8. KSUDP-Water Supply & Sewerage-Topographical Surveycompleted.
  9. GIS Property Tax Mapping is completed in Kaloor South Ward No. 63.
  10. Updated the Corporation Website (www.corporationofcohin.net) with the following details.
    • Photos – weekly work progress of Municipal Solid Waste Disposal facility at Brahmapuram during the month of March.
    • Status Report of KSUDP / JnNURM Projects as on 30/3/2008.
    • Major Achievement of PIU for the month of February 2008.
    • Monthly output of DSC-II for the month of February 2008.
    • Weekly Reports of PIU.
    • Financial Reports of KSUDP/JnNURM Projects upto February-08
    • Financial Statements of Corporation of Cochin upto February -08.
    • Budget speech 2008-09.
